Leonard Rodberg is Emeritus Professor of Urban Studies. He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from MIT. He has served in the US Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and as a Fellow of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC. He came to Queens College in 1981 and was Chair of the Urban Studies Department from 1994 through 2016 when he retired. Following an early career in theoretical nuclear and particle physics, he worked, wrote, and lectured on national and urban health, employment, and energy policies. He created and directs the Infoshare Community Data web site (www.infoshare.org) which provides comprehensive data on the neighborhoods of New York City and State. He is currently working on single payer health care in New York State, energy policies that will address the crisis of climate change, and maintaining and upgrading the Infoshare web site.
